1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using The Most Expensive Link website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. What the Service Is

The Most Expensive Link is a novelty entertainment service. One link is featured at the top of our homepage: the currently active link with the highest price. Users pay to feature their own link in that spot.

3. What You Are Purchasing

When you complete a payment, you are purchasing a novelty digital feature placement, subject to these rules:

  • Your link becomes the featured link only if your price is the highest active price. The minimum price to take the top spot is at least 10% more than the current top price.
  • Your link remains featured until another user pays a higher price. There is no guaranteed duration. When you are outbid, your link moves to the public submission history.
  • We make no guarantee of traffic, clicks, visibility, ranking, uptime, or any commercial result. You are buying a novelty placement, not advertising performance.
  • Your submitted display text and destination URL are shown publicly.
  • Payments are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law. By purchasing, you acknowledge you are receiving a digital service that begins immediately.

4. Acceptable Content Policy

You are solely responsible for the links and text you submit. You must not submit content that is or links to:

  • Illegal content, or content that facilitates illegal activity;
  • Malware, phishing, scams, or other deceptive or harmful material;
  • Sexually explicit or adult content;
  • Hateful, harassing, violent, or threatening content;
  • Content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights, or impersonates others;
  • False, misleading, or fraudulent content.

You confirm you have the right to use and display the URL and text you submit.

5. Content Removal & No Refund for Violations

We may remove, deactivate, or refuse any submission at our sole discretion, with or without notice, including for any violation of the Acceptable Content Policy. Content removed for violating these Terms is not eligible for a refund.

6. Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. Your purchase is also subject to Stripe's terms. Charges will appear on your statement under our billing descriptor.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the content of submitted links or for any damages arising from their use. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the transaction giving rise to the claim.

8. Email Communications

By making a purchase, you agree to receive transactional emails related to your purchase (such as confirmations and receipts). We may also email you when your link is outbid so you can choose to reclaim the top spot, and occasional updates about the service. These non-transactional emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date below. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law & Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions about these Terms can be sent to akfatih2@gmail.com.
